Covid Guidelines

We are aware that Covid numbers are up, and that, of course, winter brings all manner of illnesses.  If you are feeling unwell or suffering from respiratory symptoms, we strongly encourage you to rest and avoid church gatherings until symptoms subside. If you are unable to attend Sunday Eucharist due to illness, but are well enough to receive a masked visitor, our eucharistic ministers would be delighted to serve communion to you at your home—please email the vicar at vicar@stjosephsdurham.org if you are interested in receiving a eucharistic visitation.  If you are aware of recent exposure to a respiratory virus but are not experiencing symptoms, you may consider wearing a mask at indoor gatherings. At this point, masking is not required and will remain optional until otherwise announced.

These recommendations apply to all St. Joseph’s activities, including weekly Eucharist and prayer services, Bible studies and book clubs, and morning breakfasts. The vestry will continue to monitor the COVID-19 levels in Durham County and will provide any updates as necessary. If you have questions or concerns regarding COVID-19 at St. Joseph’s, you may email the Junior Warden at isaaclund14@gmail.com.
